2011 Baking Classes

You've asked and we're now offering baking and cake decorating classes.

Always wondered how we get that icing so smooth, or what the tricks are to making fancy cake decorations? Well, come on in to The Artisan Kitchen!

All classes include supplies and attendees will take home goodies to share with their friends and family. Take one class or sign up for all three and receive a discount when paid in full. Maximum 6 students per class (you must be 16 years or older, please). We have the right to cancel or combine classes with less than 3 attendees.

Baking classes run as a Winter Series due to our limited space and busy kitchen.

Winter Baking Series 2010 Classes:

Cookies 101:
Do your cookies spread off the baking tray? Could you use them for hockey pucks the next day? We'll show you the four basic mixing techniques for successful cookie baking. Bring in your most troublesome recipe for some expert advice. One 3-hour class.

Basic CupCake Decorating:
Frost and decorate gorgeous cupcakes with icing flowers, monograms, and piped figures. One 3-hour class.

Basic Buttercream Cake Decorating:
Learn how to crumb coat, frost, and make basic buttercream borders like the pros. One 3-hour class.

Custom Class:
Fun bachelorette party activity, bridal shower get together, Sweet 16 party, or a great gift for a baking aficionado. Topic of your choice, three hour class for $110.00 per individual. Call for group rates of 3 or more, & more information on available dates.

  • All Classes: Each 3 hour class, $80.00 per person.
  • Sign up for all three classes (Cookies, Cupcakes, & Cake Decorating) for $200.00 total.
  • Payment for classes due with Sign-Up Form below, which must be received 7 days before date of class.
  • Print & complete Baking Class Sign-Up Form.
